Delighted to be back again at the Korea Military Academy, the ITS 2009 organising team were given an extra shot with news that the whole tournament will be played on grass this year and all the pitches will be adjacent to each other. This is big news in Seoul where decent playing facilities are severely restricted.

This should help encourage even more teams to travel from around Asia and beyond, perhaps even surpassing last years record number of “foreign” teams. That may not please local sides who are getting used to team from overseas flying in and disappearing two days later clutching armfuls of ITS souvenirs and the best silverware!

However, the local Spire Korea Touch Championships should have sharpened the locals edge and maybe more teams can emulate last years local heroes, Tits 4 Hands, who won the ITS 2008 mixed trophy.
